Teaching tools or online applications
Cool tools for schools
Online teaching tools such as quizzes, presentations, videos, drawing and more. http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com/Home |
Flipgrid
Teachers create grids (or lists of questions) for students to answer. Students respond to the questions through recording a 90 second video reponse. These responses are emailed to the teacher instantly. The teacher can then watch the video responses. Once approved by the teacher the videos are then displayed for other students in the class to see. These responses can be viewed and 'liked'. Ideal tool for speaking practise. (Yearly subscription required.) https://flipgrid.com/info/ |

Rich internet applications for language learning
One of the many tools available on this website is called 'Conversations'. This is a tool where the teacher records question(s) as a video and students must record their answer(s) as a video. (These recorded responses can be viewed by the teacher for assessing.) This tool simulates a 'conversation' in the target language. Various other tools are also available for incorporating speaking and listening into the classroom. (Free tools.) http://clear.msu.edu/teaching/online/ria/ |
